個展のDMができました！

お正月気分がようやく抜けて、
また忙しい日々が始まりました。
先月から作っていたカニの刺繍が完成し、
個展のDMができましたーー！！
つや消しの厚めの紙に
刺繍がプリントされると、
なんだかとても立体感があります^_^
正方形の大きめのハガキです。
近くのお店に置いていただく予定ですので、
もしお目にかかりましたら、

今年もお世話になりました
＼2025年も終わりです／
こんにちは！YOKOYOKOです。
気がつけば年末
2025年が終わろうとしています。
今年は
bids shoseさんのPOPUPにはじまり、
年賀状のお仕事をたくさんさせていただきました。
Stoppageの文章を見直したり、
キャッチコピーを考えたり、
イベントはあまり多くはありませんでしたが、
しっかりと制作スタイルを見直す1年となりました。
皆様のお言葉がとてもあたたかく、
挫けそうな時は思い出してなんとか過ごすことができました。
改めて感謝申し上げます。
来年は3月に箱根のナラヤカフェで個展があります。
それまでがんばるぞ！

最近のアルバイト
＼インバウンドツアーのお仕事／
こんにちは！YOKOYOKOです。
最近は個展のための刺繍や水彩画が忙しいところですが、
外国人ツアーのお手伝いのお仕事も始めました。
足柄上郡開成町にある、
あしがり郷瀬戸屋敷。

いままでイベント出店などでお世話になっていたご縁で、
アメリカからいらっしゃる観光客のみなさまのツアーをお手伝いしています。
雰囲気のある古民家で、
お米を研いだり、
おむすびを作ったり。。。
わたしは英語が苦手なので、
あたふたしていますが、
カタコトの英語でなんとかお話しています。
来年の３月には箱根で個展もあるので、
英語の勉強も兼ねています。
みなさまに作品の紹介をすると、
「Amazing!」
「Wonderfull!」
と喜んでくださって、
わたしもなんとかうまくお返ししたいのですが、
センキューセンキューというばかりで
もどかしいです。。。
ホームページのご紹介をすることも多いので、
今後は英語も加えていきたいなーと思っています。
もしかしたら、もう会えないかもしれないお客様です。
大切なご縁を大切にしていきたいですね。

＼Working with Inbound Tour Guests／
Hello, I’m YOKOYOKO.
These days, I have been very busy preparing embroidery and watercolor works for my upcoming solo exhibition.
At the same time, I have also started a new and meaningful job helping with tours for international visitors.
The place is Ashigari-go Seto Yashiki,
a traditional Japanese house located in Kaisei Town, Ashigarakami District.
Because of connections I have built through past events,
I now help support tours for visitors coming from the United States.
In this beautiful old farmhouse, guests experience everyday Japanese culture—
washing rice,
and making onigiri (rice balls) together.
I am not very confident in English, so I sometimes feel a little flustered.
Still, I do my best to communicate using simple, broken English.
Next March, I will have a solo exhibition in Hakone,
so I think of this experience as good motivation to continue studying English.
When I show my artwork to visitors, they often say,
“Amazing!”
“Wonderful!”
They are so kind, and I really want to respond better,
but I usually end up saying “Thank you, thank you” over and over again.
I wish I could express my feelings more clearly.
I often introduce my website to guests,
so I am hoping to add English information there in the future as well.
Some of these visitors may be people I will never meet again.
That is why I want to treasure each connection and each moment.
The photo shows me teaching how to make onigiri.
It can be hard work—but it is a lot of fun.
